MDT technologies invests in the future
Just in time for the beginning of spring, MDT starts the construction of the new building, which in the end will more than double the current production and administration areas with 6,777sqm on four floors. The company has been able to deliver consistently during the last years, a clear advantage in the market. With innovative products and reliable service, the company has achieved significant growth and created a large number of new jobs in Engelskirchen. With the new building, MDT is preparing for further strong growth in the future. Mayor Dr. Gero Karthaus praises the company's commitment to the region: "MDT is an important employer in the region and a hidden champion with international success. We as the municipality of Engelskirchen are doing everything in our power to support the company in its expansion plans."
All MDT products are developed and produced Made in Germany in Engelskirchen. The new building will significantly increase capacities and the possibilities for developing further new products. "With the investment in a new production and administration building, we clearly commit ourselves to the location in Engelskirchen and create the prerequisite for our future growth and international competitiveness" says Managing Director Roger Karner. It goes without saying that the new building will be automated in an energy-efficient manner using the company's own KNX components. Geothermal and photovoltaic systems will supply it with energy and heat. Roger Karner: "Nowadays the big issue is the energy efficiency of buildings, not only for our new building, but for all commercial and private buildings. This is exactly what we are making possible for the masses with our products: with a KNX system with our components, customers can set up a smart building that only consumes energy when it is really needed. This is how we make our contribution to the energy transition."

MDT technologies develops and produces its own KNX products in Engelskirchen (near Cologne) in the Upper Mountains. Thousands of products leave the factory every day, and the products are usually available from stock. This is made possible by the flexible production set-up, which is agilely aligned to demand. More than 100 employees at the site manufacture the KNX components in various production stages.
